You welcome. This is something that lg should work on. It seems that something seems to be blocking lte. Or it might be some bug... the thing is , if you mess up with network configurations your network will likely to disappear...
 
I'm having the same problem.. I had done everything even change ROM and nothing seems to get it working. My problem is it shows 4g but when I use it for.example.YouTube half of any video it will go back to 3g any help? And it takes for.ever to come.back to 4g like.an hour.

not at all running on a fresh clean rom right now. right now for some weird reason im on 4g but if i wer to restart my cell im done wnt have 4g for a long time after it boots.. this happen to me with the indulge i had fix it with odin bt thats the indulge. idk why it jus went away now im on 3g again. do u know how can i return the phone to stock so i can return it or that may fix it?

OK. Look lets do this before you want to return the phone...

Download "lte onoff" from market. Then open the app and select lte/cmda/edvo/auto. Then press turn off radio, Then turn on it again. After that you might get 4g but don't worry about that. Then follow my instruction on how to get 4g and do it. Let the phone reboot and you should be able to be running 4g stable. Give it a try and let me know.

no cus my friends fone works perfect.... but i got it working again.... all i did was flash exitrevovery and baammmm 4g again.... thanks man 4 ur help... :) very weird bt it works perfect dsent go awayy...
well for now... lol

ok thats good to know. maybe you did some kind of faulty flash.

you can do a factory reset by going to settings > privacy > and reset phone...

Edit: Wait, Download and install "restart connection" from market and open to see if it kicks the 4g back, if it does then it'll be really beneficial for you since you can use 3g for your normal use and 4g whenever you want by opening restart connection. THIS way you will be saving a huge battery life!!!

dosent work.. bt my problem is im rooted with cwn and running gingersteem rom.

i done that alot of times and nothing seems to get it working... whats so weird is if i take the battey out wait few minutes start it again i get 4g but when i use it,,, let say half of a video on youtube it goes away. soo weird... has to be the phone that mest up.. so theres no way i can return the phone just how it came from metro? thanks
