Help PLease help. No more 3g Network

OK, so I have a samsung Admire, I rooted it, works great. I deleted all the metro pcs stuff, INcluding the metro wifi, but I did a wifi to replace it. I have no issue getting online when there is a connection, but I relized today while out and about, I have no more 3g! How do I get 3g back on the phone, please help.

3g isnt available everywhere you go..itll drop in and ot depending on the network

OK so I have notice that the 3g is still on my phone, but it sucks now?> Not sure if it was always like this but it did seem to work better before root!

Are there 3g issue after rooting a phone?
Also is there a way to make 3g better?
