Help please help out...

hey there...
i am stuck with something really strange on my optimus that has android 2.1...my phone has gone into the head phone mode even when no head phone is connected to it...due to this I am not able to listen to talk to the person on the other side...
I tried doing the factory reset, but even that is not helping...
would be glad if anyone could just help me out of this...

Hi Tanaya....!!!! Why don't you take out the battery and sim card for a while and then put them once again. This helps many problems.

i did try even that...

I think you should contact LG... It's most probably a hardware problem...

How long ago did you buy it because i'd be taking it back to the store i got it from.

yes, return it. Nothing should be doing that.

Question... did it happen when the phone was updated to Android 2.1?
If so, the update probably went wrong. There are 2 answers to that.
1- Flash Android 2.1 onto it again yourself (if you know how.. its all over the internet now) see if that cures it.
2- If your not happy about flashing it yourself.. back to shop.. tell them the official update shafted it and can I have a nice shiny new one please...

PS If its passed the date of returning, you can always have a go at flashing the android yourself anyway... its very easy and theres nothing to lose really if you cant use it.

I also think in the same strand that Tanaya should take this device to LG customer care.
