Help PLEASE HELP!!! Someone stop the vibrations

no mods just straight from the shops with a few basic apps:


not had a single problem in the last 10 months of owning the HD and all of a sudden monday morning at 5am the phone starts to vibrate by itself and doesnt stop....(unless i take the battery out)


since then it has been on and off but when it starts vibrating it wont stop the longest its carried on for maybe up to 2 hours constantly vibrating with no apps running that need to use the phones vibrator

ive taken the battery out to see if a reset/restart will work but nothing... everytime the battery terminals touch it goes off again!

faulty vibrator? or just a stupid software problem?

this is really doing my head in because its waking me up at 4/5am and its killing the battery that so much quicker!

any help would be great guys just want to be able to use this phone again like i used to :(
 
Sounds like a candidate for factory reset. If you do a factory reset and it keeps doing it, I would say it's a hardware problem

Have you installed any new Apps. Maybe try uninstalling any recent Apps you've downloaded.
 
Do your volume buttons on the side of the phone work? Could it be the vol- part of the rocker is stuck? Can your girlfriend not "muffle" it for you?

i was thinking factory reset but i only wanted to do that as a last resort ive uninstalled the latest apps i installed but its still happening SINCE 5AM THIS MORNING :mad:

is there any way to back up an image of the entire phone and sd card without rooting the phone?

Volume buttons on the side are working fine so cant be the rocker lol and if only the girl would help me out... shes so annoyed with it i dont think shes thought about that but i may suggest it to her!!!!
 
Yeah definitely sounds like it....warranty job as everything I else I can find on the interwebz with the same / similar problem comes out at the same conclusion.
 
hi, my blackberry phone has just recencly started to vibrate and it wont stop. so when i take my battery out it stop, but when the ternimals touch it starts vibrating, how could i get this to stop.

Welcome to AF! :)

As this is primarily a forum for Android handsets, I'm not entirely sure about the ins and outs of Blackberries, sorry.

If it's continually doing vibrating, then it might suggest a hardware issue? Is there an option to factory reset or similar on blackberries?
