Hi There,
Firstly hello to the users of these forums.
I have been looking for the last three days for some help on an issue I am having and so far still do not have the answer, I am going crazy trying to get around it but just cant seem to find a way or an answer from google with someone in exactly the same boat.
Here is the situation:
I have a HTC Desrie HD, rooted so I could use Titanium backup. I used Visionary+ to root the phone and an app called SuperUser to grant rights. Everything works fine and I have had no issues.
Recently Three obviously finished their work on the new build and my phone recieved the update message. I went ahead and the phone reboots and gets half way through installation and then comes up with:
Intallation Aborted... Status Code 7.
Please note there is no message about signatures, that is simply the end of the message... before that its just an error which states Error in... and then a path \dev\cache
I found online that this is maybe because I am rooted. So I have installed ClockWorkMod and tried to install the rom from there, but whatever option I choose from clockwork the phone simply restarts and just goes to a blank screen with
E:\ Cannot open recovery\cache\command.
There is no other meesage, just this and I have to reboot the phone.
I tried unrooting the phone in Visionary, exactly the same results. I have even done a factory reset on the phone through the settings menu, no difference. I have formatted that SD card with FAT file system. I have pretty much tried everything I have found so far on forums with people with roughly the same issue, but I am at the end of the road now and cannot get round this. I guess unless anyone has any ideas I will just have to use 2.2 until I get a new phone.
Any help at all would be awesome...
Many Thanks!
