Root Please Help Urgently! Tried to update with leak

please someone help!
i had a stock droid x and here is what happened:
1. installed astro file manager
2. used it to install and use universalandroot
3. downloaded and followed instructions for leak here http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid-x/154240-how-installing-froyo-2-2-a.html

now when it rebooted all i see is the Motorolla logo!!!!!!!!! however, it seems as though the actual phone is running behind the logo because i heard as if the lockscreen popped up, and when i use the same motion to unlock the screen, i can feel the haptic feedback....

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP THIS NOOB!!!!

WOAH!!!! for some reason i kept pulling out the battery and putting it back in and one time it actually started back up normally!!!! YAY!!! phew, i hadn't backed up any of my stuff... close one for this noob!
