my htc evo fell in a little water 2 weeks ago
now it will boot but then shut down
when i turn it on it very hot
anyway i can fix it with a new battery or something
dont want to lose it

Did you dry it out for a few days? If not, you should have.

Either way, you dropped your phone in water, its pretty much fried. A new battery wont do you any good. Hopefully you have insurance, if not hopefully you learned your lesson.
