whenever i open any application that contain an ad for Google the internet browser starts alone and opens it, instead of opening in the same window of the application...so i keep closing the browser over and over...:(
please help!!!!

note: i am on the original room (not rooted) with the latest update 2.1 update 1
 
Try this:

From your Home screen, press Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications. Scroll down to Internet and press it. Check if any defaults have been set, if so, clear them. Hope it helps.
 
yea i did...
i even did factory data reset....:S
it is really annoying every 2 seconds the internet browser pops up...:(
 
Same problem here. I'm running stock 2.2 on HTC Incredible. It seems that all google ads are opening up in a new window. So any app that contains google ads is rendered unusable. I'm sure it's just a rogue setting somewhere, but I haven't been able to find it yet. Help!
