Root **Please help**

Ive recently had problems with my android fascinate. i posted my problems on a different forum & got help from a guy who seemed to know what hes doing, he had me download "oden" and stuff to reboot it, i did all of what he told me to do then my phone stopped powering on, he told me to call him but i lost the forum and i hope someone can help me.. Please

What did he ask you to do? Odin is used if your phone is rooted, to change radio and such.

to reboot it & make it faster, because it was also really slow

It's called "ODIN", not "ODEN". It's a software leaked from Samsung for the purpose of flashing firmware. It would be enlightening to what what exactly he told you to do, but it's probably useless at the current stage since you can't even boot your phone, implying that you probably need to reinstall the entire firmware. Unfortunately, as the least popular variant of the I9000, the fascinate does not have a central firmware depository, so you are going to have to just trust Google and whatever results it churns up.

Give that website a try. It looks legit, and far as I tell it has the correct instructions for how to use Odin. I am assuming that you already know how to get into download mode. No need to use a pit file, and do not tick repartition.
