Root Please help

Try another mini USB cable while your at it

If all fails and the device still doesn't show, go back to wugfresh and go through the driver install guide. Look for the option to delete the vendors registered USB ports. Uninstall pdanet first then back to wugfresh to remove the vendors that have Google or android in the name.

Reboot PC

Then clean install drivers using wug or pdanet

Reboot again...

i did that and typed and devices into command window and it showed up as (a bunch of numbers) and side load
It works now, you are ready to sideload your ROM. Place the zip file (rename the file "rom" for simplicity's sake) in the sdk-tools folder. Open up cmd in that folder and type "adb sideload rom.zip"

Repeat the process again for gapps. Rename the file to a shorter version so you can remember what to type.

Its done my phone is runnning on p.a thank you so much
Don't ever wipe "internal storage" in advance wipe; you'll be wiping photos, music, your saved ROM & gapps files.

Factory reset on the first menu usually suffices. Maybe an advance wipe on "system" before a flash when dealing with ROMs and kernels (don't wipe system if your just gonna flash a kernel!) of different source code (cm11, aosp, etc...).

This thread amazes me. People on this forum are so much more helpful over the internet than the employees at the phone stores in real life. 😍

Not for nothing, but those employees are only trained to assist in your average needs. Most know nothing about the more technical aspects behind the scenes. There are a few that are knowledgeable, which have always been my favorite reps to talk with (to resolve any lingering issues).

It's just like if you go to a nursery (to buy plants) or to a pet store. The employees usually are not well trained and know very little about what they're selling. Unfortunately many of them, tech employees included, ACT like they know a lot about certain things when they clearly do not. That's when it gets frustrating. I appreciate this forum and everyone in it so much.
