Please list Droid X froyo bugs, problems, glitches

I just started noticing this too. The wifi symbol still appears, but it isn't connected. Toggling it off and on works, but it's a hassle. It usually happens after it's been idle for a while, I think.

This could be a router problem. The Droid X is finicky and some router firmware has been rewritten to accommodate it. Be sure your router has the latest firmware. If it does and the problem persists, use a router model known to play nice with the DX.

I suppose it could be, but I never had this issue before updating to Froyo. I can't imagine the phone suddenly didn't like my router.

Does anyone here know if the SMS Time fix app will also help to sort out the incorrect order of text messages? I know I read on Droid Life it fixes the time issue, but was not sure if it also takes care of the sorting problem.

If anyone knows please let me know. I'm getting tired of the problem and waiting for the fix from Motorola.

I didn't think so either. But when I did my own router's firmware upgrade, the connection and speed problems were completely fixed and I can connect with wireless-N perfectly. I'm using an AirLink101 675W router.

I have two generic standard replacement batteries for my X and when I used them in the past with 2.1 they battery meter on the top would display the percentage of battery left, just like it would with the regular battery that came with my phone. Now, since updating to 2.2, all my X will show is a black battery with a ? (question mark) in it. It will not display how much battery is left with either of my generic aftermarket batteries.

I think that is pretty cheap Verizon/Motorola, trying to force people to purchase your expensive name brand batteries

Anybody having an issue with their vibrate setting turning off randomly? I can set it to vibrate and then at some random time, the ringer would blast. Thus, scaring/embarrassing the crap out of me haha.

Yes. I use ringer mode, it has options for the vibrate setting that somehow gets turned off.

Hi everyone,
Newbie here. I am trying to get ny am talk radio stations on my droid x. Is there a free app that will allow me to do that?
Thanks!!!

Uh, no. No router manufacturers are rewriting their software for the Droid X. They could care less.

I had that once yesterday. a reboot fixed it for me. tis a bummer tho
Reboot is only a temp fix in my scenario. I did another cache wipe. Those seems to stave it off for weeks at a time. Here's to hoping. Also, that update coming up is supposed to fix it :)

I don,t got no stinkin buggs!!!

My phone hasn't vibrated for an email, SMS, or phone call since the update. I have ringer and silent lol. It will vibrate for alarms though.

it has a vibrate and silent toggle widget

Sure, but I don't want a switch on my screen. I want to go to sound settings, set it to always vibrate, and have it vibrate every time the phone rings, message comes in, or a notification happens, sound off or not.

Besides, the BW toggle turns on vibrate and turns off sound or vise versa...I want and need both at the same time. The system keeps using vibrate erratically.

Vibration, like ringtones, are now controlled in individual apps. you need to go into the apps themselves and set it to vibrate always.

:o Yeah, I just noticed that after typing my last message...changed with Froyo. Separate for each... gmail, hotmail, messaging, etc. Testing now.

That happens to me all the time. I either find the answer somewhere immediately after I post a question, or I figure it out. Even tho I've been here almost a year I have my "noob" moments. LOL I think we all do

Just got my new DX last night and it came with Froyo . . . Are the issues everyone is seeing with a download or would these same problems apply to a "factory install"? So far I would say I haven't really seen any problems and I've exercised the hell out of my phone . . . But I'll be sure and post any when (if) they come up.

Thank You - Dean

Some people aren't having any problems at all. Factory install or not. Maybe you're one of the lucky ones :)
