Please post here when you receive ics ota

Rules for taking the ota:

1. You must be on stock rom.
2. You must have all system apps installed (frozen is ok).
3. You must be on the stock recovery.

If you don't have all 3, the ota will fail and you'll be a sad panda. You can still use the tool Neph made to push it to you phone (that's what I did).

If you need to restore stock rom, search the forum... You can flash one or use neph's tool to restore it.

If you need system apps, you should reflash stock... Reinserting system apps might cause problems.

If you need stock recovery,, search This forum... It's referenced several times.

The easiest way, Imo, is to download the v7 cab (posted in a few threads), use neph's tool and restore your phone that way. Took me 5 mins.

Okay, So
1. Im on stock rom 2.3.6 V4
2. All system App is installed
3. I use AIO bat, and choose option "unroot and stock recovery", and succesful. Then i check if my CMW is still installed, so i go to recovery and i its says CMW-based recovery v5.0.... So, i still has CMW recovery then?? If not, can i just go to update OTA then??

Lol seriously. Headphones is the best they can come up with? Proof of how pedantic most iphone users are that are sucked in by headphones. Skull candy makes some awesome ones for $15 @ target. I just saved you $300...Please mail all checks/money orders to......

Nope, You still have CWM.
Use this, it'll put you at V6 with stock recovery and you can update to ICS from there.

how can you be on 2.3.6 if your on v4
2.3.6 is v6 not v4
2.3.5 is v4

Thanks..so, i will just use the stock recovery V4 files to delete CMW, because im already at V4 stock rom

Really?? in setting>sofware information its says that my android version is 2.3.6, and SW version VS920ZV4. I believe that V4 in SW version means i got V4 version. Am i right?

That I can't explain. V6 was 2.3.6. I have no Idea how V4 can also be 2.3.6. I would flash the Stock V4 ROM just to be sure if you're gonna do V4 Recovery because that isn't right and it might cause problems.

Okay this become more confusing. Its safe to flash V4 when my android version is 2.3.6?
 
Honestly, I would just flash both V6 ROM and Recovery just to be safe, it doesn't take that long and it will save you updating to V6 OTA, which takes about a half an hour. Just be sure to Flash V6 ROM before recovery.

So, its better to skip flashing V4 ROM, and just strait flash V6 Stock ROM and recovery?

Yeah, it'll save you time. I can also personally verify that it works and works well. I'm happily running ICS.

I'm Glad to tell you that i have succeed to flash V6, and also now im running official ICS. :)

Note: When i completely flash the V6 Stock rom and stock recovery, i saw that my SW version is still on V4.

It's quite funny. I saw the commercial on tv and was already on the leak. So my friend is a realtor and I showed him the panoramic function on my phone and he was amazed. He has a thunderbolt so its still on GB and I told him to go to the PlayStore and get ICS camera. He loves his camera now. Then they showed the one where they bump the phones (Galaxy S3) and share a playlist. I told him I can one up that and quickly grabbed bump from the PlayStore and bumped a picture to my computer hitting the spacebar. Needless to say he was amazed and sold on Android for Life. :)

Hey i just notice some wierd on my ICS. Whenever i restart my phone, After i go to my homescreen, its says that "Unfortunately LG MLT has stopped". Anyone knows what is LG MLT? Can i just ingnore it, or there something i can do about it?
 
It's an app and memory management tool for the lg roms. You can freeze or even remove it, but I'd just freeze it.

Same with
- system update (a tool for verizon support to access your device)

Remember, freeze... Only remove if you have a backup and/or know what you're doing.
 
Not sure if anyone else noticed this but they changed the battery charging animation when turned off and charging and it looks wayyyyyy cooler now
