THIS IS MY FINAL REQUEST! Stop asking about this update.zip file. I will have this thread closed if this does not stop. You will hear from me when and if he decides to release the file. If he doesn't, so be it. Life will go on, I promise you that much.

It's really annoying to me, because damn near everyone on this forum expects whoever gets the update to post it for them. They are not required by any means to post it. Don't bitch and moan if they don't, who cares. If you want 2.1 root your phone. My phone does everything I want just the way it is on 2.0.1. I'll be happy when I get 2.1, but i'm not going to flip out because someone doesn't want to give me the update.

Leave the guy alone, if he has it or not, it's up to him if he wants to give it out. Everyone complaining to me, if I had it and I was considering posting it. I wouldn't. That would stop me from doing it, as is probably the case with most people.

I see someone posted the Phonescoop link before I could, so at least we have some info, even if it's not very good.

Having said that, I'm not too impressed with what's in the information from Phonescoop; particularly the part that it's "expected" the update will go out rather than saying that it "WILL" go out.

Verizon doubtless has their reasons, but I don't think they're handling it well at all.

Give him until after 10PM as requested. I heard thats when he gets off work. I am handeling the whole situation. Don't worry about it. You will hear a statment from me with reguads to the said update file before the end of the night. Please stop the ranting on this thread!

Where did he tease everyone? He stated that he got the update and to hold on that everyone should eventually get it. It's up to him if he wants to share it with others. Where does it state anywhere that he is required to share it? I wouldn't blame him one bit if he doesn't share it after all the crap he has taken. I know I wouldn't!

Personally I would hope people would wait at least an hour or two after that - and give him time to get home and sit down after work before badgering anyone. Without further information I'd suggest waiting at least until midnight Pacific.

I don't see the point of potentially angering someone who might do something nice for you.

I've had a 2.1 Rom for awhile so I really don't care if he gives out the update or not. And if he doesn't actually have it, then I Karma is a bit** and what goes around comes around. But is there any reason to flame/bash him?

Really? That is just too funny. No, some of us just have some respect. This crap is growing out of hand and I wish Trident would just lock the damn thing now. We know what he is trying to do, and he can always post to let us know if he ever does get his hands on the update file. I hate having to read all the constant BS in EVERY thread, Facebook post, and so on.

Yes, thank you. Rethinking this over a bit... my findings will be posted tomorrow morning around 9AM EST. This should give me an ample amount of time to converse with him. Noting will be posted before then. Thanks for your understanding.

Now you understand why i asked. I do respect the guy when he gets home he has to relax,eat or just shoot some baddies on COD. So if for some reason he was on the west coast time we would have lots of angry folks like grrr i mean disturbing at times. Ok guys tomorrow morning we will know the deal and if phone scoop is correct maybe other folks will come out with the 2.1 update.zip for us all to play with hmm hmm. ok i'm weird.

No, I was talking about Trident. We all know what he is up to on the update file. Sorry for the confusion there. I too am running the leaked 2.1 ROM that came out awhile back, so I am in NO hurry, just ready to get this update over with and move on. It's not like my phone doesn't work already, and do most everything I need it to.
 
its the version that was sent out to davs and testers a month ago its not the real official download. you have to use rds lite to load it on your droid. it is not a update.zip file. ok?

Seriously, just shut up. I could care less if he is lying, or if he is telling the truth. If I get it, great. If I don't, well guess what I'll get it when it comes out! Most people are reasonable, and smart enough to understand that. You apparently, don't. I don't care if he get's pissed off and doesn't post it. It's not like he's taking something away that I had. But I have no reason, or right to doubt, or try to force him to do something he doesn't want to do. So you sir, and everyone else complaining, needs to piss off.
