I have installed many apps. ...its difficult to find apps.

so I need a search app which will help me to find installed apps.

Can you please suggest an app

dhongdhong I have no idea which phone or tablet you have but if your device is running Jellybean 4.1.2 you can tap on the menu button and go to settings. From there tap on the Application Manager and you can look at Downloaded apps, apps on the SD card, Running apps, or All apps installed. You can also delete the apps you no longer use from there.

The Google Play Store app on your phone ... tap on its menu and choose 'My Apps' :)

its not like that.

Here is what I'm looking for ...

I installed the search app......Now I open this app.

Say ...I type Han in the search box

This should show immediately matching installed app ..such as Handcent , Hangman etc

user can choose any of this matching app to open it.

This was I could save my time to search through jungle of apps.

Is there any such search app ?

The app manager of GO Launcher EX has an app search function, maybe it's can perform what you want :)

I believe you are referring to the Google Search app. What version of Android are you running? On my phone, which is using Ginger Bread, it doesn't seem to work, but using my Tablet, it does work using Jelly Bean. I'm not sure if it work or not with Ice Cream Sandwich.

I am using Go Launcher ...when I do click on left menu ..I find

Sorting
New Folder
Hide App
Go Market
Settings

There is no search app menu.

Can you please tell how do you get search app menu ?

Unless the OP has over like 500 apps, then in the OP's example, I find it hard to believe that typing "han" would be any faster than just opening the app drawer and scrolling through alphabetically. But if he really has that many apps, then it seems like an index slider (like exists for contacts) would be the best solution.

I just use google search to find installed apps, typing 1st few letters like the OP says but i know that function (local search) got removed from some phones in US after an Apple lawsuit

You can use a program called Google Gesture available in the Google Play store which allows you to draw the letters of the program you want and will give you the results of the programs it finds even if you only type the first few letters.

Google Gesture Search can be found by searching for the name of it in the Google Play store or copying the text from the Web link below and pasting it into your Web browser

Although as mentioned before, using the Google Search program on your phone is easier if you don't need Gestureand only want to type. The Google Search program icon in your phone looks like a blue Square with a white letter G in the middle

how ?

I'm using android 4 OS and Go Launcher.

What phone do you have? If you have a Samsung, just a long press of the menu button (the button on the left side of the home button on the phone) will open the search app. Or you can look for it in the app drawer. Its a blue icon with a letter G on it. Its either called search or Google. Then once inside, press the menu button (button on left of home button) then choose settings.

Yeah i used Google Gesture Search while it was a beta and its very good. It also bypasses the apple ban
