my samsung galaxy y is not properly working. however i unplugged my charger the charger icon still in charging mode. how to identify the root cause and kindly give me solution. thank you so much in advance.

In the meantime, let me get the ball rolling with some general questions: Does the device charge correctly when it is connected? If you view the chart available at Settings > Battery, does it indicate that the phone is charging even when it is not? Have you gotten the phone wet by any chance?
