Root plzz help cm7 problems

Ok so ive had the huawei ascend from metro pcs for some time now ( like a year?) And over time it became laggy, slow, etc. Recently i heard about rooting and custom roms. And was eager to try it out because was tired of my phones being so slow and laggy. I went ahead and rooted my phone using gingerbreak. I then downloaded cm7 and flashed my phone without backing upp any data or apps!!!!! I totally forgot! all my stuff trashed now i have cm7 on my phone but without market! Please i noe im an idiot but what should i do?
