Help Pointless message on enabling GPS in ICS

Since updating to ICS (flashed using the CH generic ROM), I get a message saying

"By selecting Standalone GPS Services, you are enabling access to all location information..."

every time I enable GPS. This is a bummer, as it stops me automating GPS activation via Tasker. Does this happen with the official OTA ICS update? Anyone know of a way to stop this message occurring?

there's always been a maesage when enabling gps though, even on gb, it says something like enabling gps will use background data or something like that, and you have to click ok or cancel.

I hadn't been aware that message was persistent on GB. While on GB, I used to leave GPS switched on, but I wanted to take advantage of getting root on ICS by managing GPS more closely via Tasker. That intention has been scuppered by this totally pointless message. I'll ask around on XDA to see if some bright spark has found a way to suppress it.

The message shouldn't be persistent at all.
I use the same ROM and flashed in the same way.

Tried doing a Nandroid backup and re-flashing the ROM?

I take it you don't get this message each time you activate GPS, then?

I've taken a nandroid, but am a bit loathe to have to try restoring in anger yet as I've seen a number or reports stating that the restore with CWM has resulted in errors.

I saw a report yesterday that there is a new SXS ICS ROM under test, so will probably wait for that to become available and see what happens then (as long as I'm definitely able to flash the ROM without losing root, that is).
