So I went to Verizon. I told them I want a good Eris (instead of my 5th broken one) or something else. They offered me a LG Ally. Anyone have suggestions on how to get out of my Verizon contract? I have had enough! I am hoping I can take off my data package and pay my girlfriend the extra 10 bucks a month for a line i don't use anymore.

What's wrong with the Ally? When I wanted a replacement on a dumb phone awhile back they wanted to give some crap phone. I just told them I'd pay the difference on something else. They renewed my contract and I got a new phone for a small price. Just saying in case it's just the Ally you have the problem with.
I'm on my fourth Eris, when I asked the rep if I could get an Incredible instead, he said the only reason he couldn't do that was because we have two lines with an upgrade right now and the third one coming up in Feb.
You might be able to negotiate with them to get an Incredible, or like others have said and pay the difference for a better phone if you don't have an upgrade.
