poor battery life on tmobile g2

hey all, i have a tmobile g2, and it has pretty poor battery life. i watch what im using too, thats the interesting part. i have juice defender on always, screen brightness low, wifi off, I EVEN ONLY USE 2G NETWORKS. anything that i can do?

How many hours equal "poor"? Is this a new issue, was it once good then gotten worse in the last few weeks?

well to give you an idea ive been unplugged for about 12 hours now and im @ 39%, after being extremely conservative, minimal use, music for like 1 hour in total (was in airplane mode while playing it), flipped on 4g for about 2 minutes to quickly get some directions.
besides that, ive been on 2g the whole day, brightness off / on automatic (mostly off), juice defender on (balanced mode), and no this has been the case since i bought the phone (a couple weeks ago), it was used (if that matters). Are my standards too high? maybe because i'm coming from a blackberry that lasted 2 full days/nights even with extensive use?

i see, so is there any fix? do i need to update on something? right now im on
anrdoid version : 2.2
do you need to know the baseband version , kernel version, and build number also?

there is an update out but I am unsure how it effects battery life. I know I have had this drain issue on and off for the last couple weeks, some days are normal some days suck. I am running a custom rom with all sorts of battery profiles. it still hits me hard. I think it has to to with Tmo towers being worked on.

I see. Perhaps it would affect the battery life for me? Idk. So how do I get it though? I when I go to "check for updates" it always says my phone is up to date?

dont you mean AT&T :\ :( lol

on the leaked version (2.3.3) i am pulling off awesome battery. i have gone 20 hours without a charge, and thats with more than moderate use.

thats waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than when i had froyo.

no battery saving apps
