This is what I noticed. When I have zoomed in to take a close up of something, it was grainy. I learned how to use the different screen shot settings and that fixed the problem. I would say play around with the setttings and get familiar with it before taking pictures you want to keep. Take the same picture, but using different settings. This will help you see how best to take pictures. For me, the pictures look really good coming from a camera. (Won't replace a point and shot camera.)
