I have the epic and in the mms video mode it takes very poor video. Can barely make out anything. I have had $100 phones that sent better video. Sprint says its the android software. Does everyone else have this issue.

cant say i've ever seen or had the issue, generally when shooting a video with mms mode selected it restricts the length at which you are able to film, perhaps with the epic it then reduces the quality also, to save on size and sending/receiving times.
I do also have the issue of when someone sends a video that it is poor quality. Whenever the upgrade comes out, I hope it fixes it cause I like to send videos of my baby to my mom in another state. My sister has the mesmerize and works good so I don't think it's an android thing
