i have to press hard on the screen to get it to respond even then sometimes it does,nt do anything, when i dial a number it takes a few seconds for each diget to show on screen, also when in a call and want to end, i press end and it does nothing then i press it again, suddenly it responds and ends the call but then realizes its been pressed twice and re-dialls the last number, got loads of other issues aswell, what can i do except bin the phone and buy something better

Well your probably the only person on the forum who has this problem so its really not a wank phone, instead of coming straight to the forum ranting have you tried resetting your phone.

It must have something wrong with it mate, at times I find mines too touch sensitive...
Have you tried restarting it?

Apps etc
SD safe
Although I had to replace my handset after 1 day and while setting up it downloaded them

Mine was uber sensitive until I got a screen protector now its about right

If you hold the power button down for a few seconds 3 choices POP up, choose restart.
You won't loose anything. Once your phone has loaded up again, after a few minutes you should notice that it will be faster and hopefully work better for you. :)

What version are you running? Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Software version, does it say Android 2.2 or Android 2.2.1?

If it says Android 2.2, go to Settings -> Applications -> Development and turn on USB Debugging to see if that makes a difference.

Sorry to hear that, and I'm sure others will do their best to solve your issues, but that's no excuse for using unacceptable language in thread titles. A brief but accurate description of the main problem is far more likely to receive sympathetic responses. ;)

done this and i get a message saying, usb debuging is intended for development purposes only.It can be used to copy data between your computer and your device, install applications on your device without notification, and read log data,

whats this mean

Hi to all,

I don't have much lag issues with the phone all the time. But sometimes it is dead slow, that too when i am in urgent to call someone.. it lags too much... i need to restart the phone and wait till it comes to normal state...

Also i verified my phone software version and it is 2.2 only... how can i get it updated to 2.2.1? i did click the 'update now' and it shows no updates are available.. how u guys got 2.2.1?

Please tell me how to update to new version...

Regards,
Sasi

You don't want 2.2.1, it caused more problems than it sorted (for me anyway, some are ok). If your phone is lagging, try the USB debugging thing mentioned a few posts up.

I am new to all this too, and my phone started going very very slow the other day, but I only noticed it after instaling the ebay app. After i ditched it (it wasnt that good anyway) all was back to normal
