Help POP email help

New to Droid and my POP email is not working the same as it did on my windows OS phone. Have both a hotmail account and web based corporate email account setup on the new DROID 3. The new emails are coming in fine, but the issue is that they are STAYING on the phone. Once deleting from host email account the phone is not syncing and removing? Help?

It appears this is just the way POP email works on DROIDS...there is a setting on the DROID 3 that will remove emails after a set time off phone, but not "delete" off sever, even if the option to delete from sever manually is checked. Nice that this safety feature works. However, the increments are weeks instead of days, which for me would work better.

With my newly aquired Droid 3, it appears that it will "hold" emails from POP servers. You can set how many it holds. I use K-9 Mail where you set the "local folder size" in terms of number of messages under settings/account settings/fetching mail. As new emails are received, older emails are discarded. Also under fetching mail is the option to "sync server deletions" where it will remove messages from the phone if the message is deleted on the server.
