pop3 email issue

I've noticed that recently when I read an email on my Droid and delete it, it still shows up a few minutes later over and over as a new email. I have 2.2 and am using the standard email app that came with my Droid. It's on my work email account which has it's own server, not a gmail/hotmail etc.

Help would be great! It's really annoying!

If I remember correctly, there is a setting to delete from the server when you delete from the phone. Open the email, press the menu button (just left of the home button at bottom of your screen), click "settings" or "preferences" and look for it there.

I haven't use the stock email app since April or May and have been using K9. If my directions on how to open the settings are not correct, I'm sorry.
