Root (Port) Behold 2 1.6 ( No Twiz w/ Busybox & Rooted Kernel )

Hang in there Guys... Working with a New launcher.. so at 6pm I'll know if it's worth adding it to a New version... So far since adding it... Battery Life has been better, plus I really Pref. this launcher..

Does it have the nice features like advanced launcher?
(uninstall apps from app drawer, remove apps from app drawer, set how many home screens you want?)

Please Help! I just flashed DOTS to my phone, and my phone won't boot up at all now. I have flashed several other ROMS before, with great success, so I am pretty sure I followed the instructions correctly. While flashing in ODIN the screen just went black after hanging on the "android" boot up screen for a longer than usual amount of time. ODIN said it had "PASSED". No buttons on the phone would do anything to effect the phone, including the end key to power it down. I removed and replaced the battery, and the phone did start up when I powered it on. But, just as when it was flashing, it went black after staying on the android screen for a very long time. Any ideas? Have I damaged my phone somehow?
Thank you for your help.

were you using an sdcard with an ext partition on it??? If so then take out the sdcard and boot up from there!

Thanks Paul. Removing my sdcard worked perfectly. Is this something I should have been doing everytime? Like a lot of the other processes on here, I can (usually) follow the instructions, but I still don't always entirely get what I'm doing or why. :)

Well if you have A2SD on your sdcard then if you dont wipe it correctly your next flash will not boot up as you have experienced!

At anytime you get the Black screen, you Can do this from adb shell!

1. Boots & goes to black screen
2. Plug usb into computer
3. Open a Command prompt
4. adb shell
5. cd /system/sd/app-private
6. rm -r *
7. cd /system/sd/dalvik-cache
8. rm -r *
9. reboot

That's it :D running those commands will let the Phone Boot Correctly from there on...

Now regarding Upcoming JAVA Release Build that should be coming tonight... I'm very happy over all with this build, also Any cut & Better Cut is working correctly ( I bought Better Cut just to check ) so this should make a Few happy :D
Next, we still have the option for 7 screen & the layout is awesome!
I also figured out how to re-edit the cache & userdata so this should fix the end results of having to use the factory resets as well..
Root issue's? So far I've not had any issue's with the Build regarding Root, nor did I have with DOTS so I think I finally got that Squared away..

Battery Life?
I had a Few reboots I've done here an there testing a few other Feature, but without a charge I'm currently on
49% Battery Charge @ 41:23:02 ( hr/min/sec ) of up time! :D
so I think the battery issue is now fixed as well, but like alway, Time will tell...

so far this build runs roughly with 102mb free at all time, then again the launcher I'm using has the ability to to end Process, I don't want to say what launcher it is until I release it & see what the Feedback is regarding it :D...

Until then,
~BH_MAN

So I let my battery die, plugged it in and charged complete while off, just like I do with every rom released by BH_MAN.

Well all of a sudden, my phone's battery appears to be draining faster than I've ever seen.

Anyone else having this problem or am I all alone?

DOTS is doing the same thing for me, while TWIX wasn't...but he will be coming out with yet another update lol, so not worried about DOTS...
So BH_MAN whats it gonna be this time "WARHEADS" lol

Oh Snap! I like that... Going to Run with it :D thanks...

Also, I want to Note, "WARHEADS" :D will have the New Maps already installed as well with the Vending.apk :D

I cannot pull down the notification bar in this DOTS.rom. This is the first time i get this weird problem.

Very very Odd.... Anyone else having this issue?

Jumping into IRC for abit, If I don't respond at anytime, likely the wife is having me do something around the house...

My wife had this issue with R7 but it hasn't shown up in twix yet. She's had several force closes and the finicky proximity sensor though.

I'll wait for warhead to come out and then decide if I'm going to put R8 on her phone since she seemed to complain less when she was using galaxy.

I just got done charging mine and I dropped 10% within an hour. Wont know for another hour it will keep dropping at that rate. My battery indicator states 9hrs left, makes sense if I only have 90% left. This is "possibly" the first battery issue I have had.

Well at least BH_MAN is now aware the DOTS is draining the batteries. I'm sure he'll look into it and figure it out for us. :)

Phone still gets stuck in dialer when talking on the phone and making calls,im having all types of issues with Dialer but other than that this rom is perfect

I ran the DOTS all day yesterday and it drained quickly. Recharged and under normal use it drained slowly today. So, great battery life. Root for apps comes and goes. If I start up the terminal app just after it boots up it can grab SU then I start Titanium backup and it can't. Like I said, I have to start the terminal app right after boot up then I can do the chmod 04755 /system/bin/sh, chmod 04755 /system/bin/su and then Titanium can access root

Other than that, no complaints with DOTS.
