Root ( Port ) Galaxy 1.6 on the Behold 2 Final

BH_MAN, any time frame on R10 arrival? I was gonna load up R9 from R8 because of the Kernel changes, I'm still having trouble with random reboots, about 4-5 a day. Which is a huge improvement over 10-12 I was having before loading Galaxy ROMs. R6 was pretty bad with this for me! Not trying to rush you, I know you're a busy man! We appreciate all your late nights! Just didn't wanna waste time with R9 if R10 is soon behind. Anyone else have reboot problems? I read some where it's an Android 1.X bug, is this true?

I'm still using R8. I'm just going to wait for R10 since it will likely come out today. I'm not sure why you're having those random reboots, but it sounds like an issue directly related to your phone. The last time I had a random reboot was before I rooted and started using these roms.

Also, how long have you had the phone? If less than 30 days, take it back to TMo and make them exchange it. If longer than 30 days, it should still have a manufacturer's warranty good for a year, covering all defects (like 5 random reboots per day) and the store still might exchange it for you. If they won't, tech support over the phone definitely will.
 
It's been over 30 days (4 months), but I've been living with it because I read somewhere in the forums it was an Android 1.X bug. I just assumed a lot of people were having the same problem. It's gotten a little bit better with R8, but still around 4-5 times a day. I've only had my phone on an hour and it happened once within the first 15 minutes. Thanks SPIZ I guess i'll give TMobile a call. I guess I shouldn't ASS-ume!

Yeah that was supposed to have been fixed by that OTA update TMobile released a while back. I actually ended up exchanging that phone, and the problems seemed to go away. Now with all of us having updated kernels, I had assumed those problems went away for everyone.

But yeah, I haven't seen a random reboot for a really long time now. I hope TMobile can get you a new phone and these problems go away for ya!
 
No offense BH_MAN, (in a joking manner) !What takes so long to upload the file lol! Does it keep freezing on you or are you just really busy? HAHAHA, JK I CAN WAIT!!!

NVM lol, I saw that you are repairing the recovery, so you are waiting to release this so that your repaired recovery will be included! :)
 
I had the best performance and battery life on R7. I'm currently running WarHeads (I like having vibrate), but I would have switched to R10 if it wasn't for the internet speed hack. I'm waiting for the next (final) release after WarHeads unless there's a way to undo the speed hack. I need a reliable connection.

Nah,i thought that hsxpa hack was the problem so i removed 2 lines in build.prop file,rebooted twice,still conection drops,so its not the hack thats the problem.But it appears that i found a fix:I reset "mobile networks" in settings menu and the problem went away,hope it remains that way.Thanx for great rom,but i agree that in some ways R7 is the best,less bugs and faster.

Thanks for that tip, and if it works, then I would still like to see the speed hack in R10!

Speed hack only works in certain cities,but in most cases if you in the usa it will slow down your speed in half,edit the build.prop file yourself then do a few speed tests and see which one works better.
NOTE:You need to reset the phone twice after editing the file,leaving it off for 3-5 mins may help also for hack to register.
 
Damn,i just spent whole day tweaking R9,now its R10.Sht im not complaining,keep them coming,hope my girl wont leave me over this phone,which is hers,lol.

Don't push your luck... she might demand you put Warheads on there so that she can have the vibrate function. ;)
