Help Portable Hotspot Issue

I am unrooted and have a subscription to a tethering plan with Verizon. I was using their regular tethering option through the setting menu but was really annoyed with how unstable it was. Some days the hotspot signal would be nice and strong, but more days than not, it would stop working after about a minute and wouldn

I believe this is an issue with the radios which WILL be updated in the next update.

I find using wigedtsoid to toggle on the vzw tethering works much better. I pay the subscription to vzw, however, I think widgetsoid bypasses the authentication process which seems to make tethering work flawlessly. You can even turn it on without a data connection and connect to your phone via wifi for file transfer!

Sometimes I find my tethering starts to wig out, and toggling airplane mode for about 30sec to a minute, then restarting tethering makes it play nice.
