Root Porting Ubuntu

I started on it yesterday. But it kept saying something like make sure phone is connected in adb or something like that. But I was doing it the way they had it for the nexus just to see what it would do. I didn't see that website. Imma give it another shot today
 
Good luck with the port guys, I've read it is based on CM 10.1, so the fact that the MT has had issues with CM9/10 development will probably make it trickier.

If anyone can figure it out tho, the MTDEVs can. :)
 
yea i just saw that its based on cm10.1 i might have to wait until the triumph gets a cm10.1 rom but idk imma still try and see where i get
 
it's not worth it, it's very laggy and not fully functional, it's just a developer preview... I've tried it on my gnex
 
i no its really buggy i watched the video of it but at least if one of us gets it now then when they come out with a stable build it wont be hard to port it to the triumph cause we will have already known what to do...i assume
 
i might have to take this kinda slow. i reread and reread to get a understanding of it. the only thing that i said wow on was the 15gb thing. i use my phone as internet so idk. im fina start tho
 
Until we get a booting CM10.1 ROM, this won't work. I've been trying lately to get it to work, but alas we need some major kernel development to get it to run.

Might have to talk with a few of the kernel devs here to see if they can throw in a helping hand :P

How long did it take to u to pull the repo or whatever it is? I might start on it for the ego v but that 15 GiB is holding me back I don't have WiFi around here I tether my phone to my laptop but I might have to wait til I go to a McDonalds or something with WiFi to start it
