Apps Portrait Mode in Landscape

Does anyone happen to know of a way to have a portrait-mode app display its screen in landscape? I have a desktop tablet stand to hold my device, but rotating it from landscape to portrait causes my tablet to slowly slide down. I'd rather it stay landscape, if possible.

There are apps that purport to do this...here's a couple:

Best thing would be to try them and see if they actually work for you.
