Positive talk only :)

We are battling a few injuries. The mental toughness just isn't there yet. We could have won Friday night but we laid down when a few things didn't go our way.
My defensive backs will be fighting for their starting spots in practice this week.....

Gotta find a way to stop making the small mental mistakes that are killing us.
We should be 3-0 instead of 1-2.
First league game this week. We are way more talented than the team we will be playing but with the way we have been playing.... Well, let's hope the boys reach down deep because it is gut check time.

Getting ready for walk through then the team feed.
Had a great week of practice after a come to Jesus meeting about history tradition and mental toughness.
First conference game of the season is tomorrow. It's time for us to take our rightful spot back atop the league!

The coach who built our program from the ground up and is responsible for the history and traditions we have has been sick and in the hospital. I have pounced into their heads all week that it is time they wake up and start playing with that same pride he taught and bread into our program!
We spent some time talking about the history and traditions of our program this week. Lots of former players came back to talk to my men. I got a feeling we will run wild tonight!!
To paraphrase Hulk Hogan. "What are you gonna do when the Nelsonville-York Buckeyes run wild on you!?!"
 
We poured it on them tonight!
Great great win! I am so proud of how well we played.
Defense had 8 sacks and 2 picks tonight. One of which was a pick 6! We played well in every aspect of the game.
Had to fight a little home cooking with the refs but a 46-6 win is huge!

Certain expressions from baseball make sense to me from context, like "Perfect game".:cool: But pick 6? Home cooking? Must be a football thing.;)

Pick 6 is an interception returned for a touchdown.
Home cooking means the refs were Homers or local guys who are biased to the home team.

Been a great week of practice and the kids are healthy and ready to roll!
As soon as the game ends tonight I am taking my wife away for the weekend which means I'll be up all night Sunday breaking down tape but we need some time together!

Where is that delicate line between a win, and just shamelessly being bad sports; Publicly embarrassing your opponent, grinding them into the turf after the win is assured?

And the more important question..........Who cares where that line is?????

In Ohio we have a running clock click rule if one team leads by 30 or more at anytime in the second half.

It was 21-0 after 3 and we scored on a deep pass 2 minutes into the 4th and broke a long run with 7 minutes left to go up 35-0. At that point I had the JV in and we were just running dive plays up the gut.

If we hadn't had so many dumb penalties in the first half it could have and should have been 42-0 at the half.
Those will get cleaned up this week.

It's homecoming week!

It may get really local but Music Will always survive! I love music.

Our defense is just that good.
It was 0-0 after 1
17-0 at half
38-0 after 3.
Pulled the starters after our last score in the 3rd quarter.
We rushed for over 400 yards on them last night.
We had 547 yards of total offense and our defense gave up 107 total yards, most of that was late in the game with our reserves in.
We've given up 12 points in the last 3 games.
 
We sit 4th in our region with 3 games left. I figure with our secondary points we will end up 4th or 5th. Would rather have 4th so we can get a first round home game.
We are in a tough region so a home game would help.
Playing another team that we should roll over again this week. Just hope we can keep our starters healthy.
 
Another shutout by our defense! Kids played great. We did turn the ball over once but we didn't punt 1 time in the entire game.
63-0......
