Positive thoughts while waiting....

I don't know about some of you, but I know most of us are either waiting for something (Gnex ring a bell?), or just got done waiting and are playing with our new phone, or maybe we hate what we have, and are trying to find some help!

I get bummed sometimes that I have the OG Droid, and I see people with these powerhouse phones that I would love to own, if I had the money, and it was upgrade time, which it's not.

I can upgrade in mid April, so I'm always looking out at the horizon. I could focus on how unlucky I am, or look at it in a positive way.

1. If I have to be "stuck" with a phone, I picked the right one, that's for sure.

2. I have unlimited data which I get to keep and be grandfathered in, since I got my Droid in June 2010. The people who are just now getting smart phones on Verizon are the ones that are extra bummed (no offense to those of you in this situation), because they have to be careful once they have their speedy machines going.

3. I get to skip gingerbread, and go straight to ICS. I do like GB, but since my phone won't get it (not a rooting/rom person), I guess I can just skip it completely, so not have to get used to 4 types of OS's (2.1 (not that long), froyo, GB, and ICS).

4. I don't have that stupid ENV2. I know some liked it, it was terrible! I had to have it replaced 4 times, and the last one was broken out of the "like new" box!

5. I really have lots of time to try out what's coming out and see what works and what doesn't. As 720P display resolution becomes standard next year, along with ICS, I can see how the various UI's look and feel on each new device, in case I don't go GNex. I will probably go HTC if I don't go nexus.

Anyway, I could go on, but I guess it's time to think about the good things, not just the bad. Like a job, you can usually think of good and bad, it's how you spin it when you think and talk about it.

If anyone wants to add their thoughts, feel free.
