Root Possible bootloader unlock

The thing is the two options in flashify are flash recovery and flash boot. Aboot is neither of those. And he hasn't posted back since. Did he brick?

I believe busybox x works in conjunction with busybox and terminal emulator. It seems I read that before in a post elsewhere.
 
Thank you guys for the info.hopefully asmugone hasnt bricked.hopefully he will post good news soon and how he accomplished it in detail.

donjuro, have you had any correspondence with the group that supplied the boot.IMG?

Maybe Bad_MOFO_33's backup files, and danhalen1's partition & raw info could be passed on to aid them and see what has been overlooked, if he/they are willing to assist. :)

:( so apparently there are differences between the F90 & LS740...

Wonder what ROM/Kernel version the F90 has and if it's possible to downgrade the LS740 ROM/Kernal to unlock and get recovery with that boot.img somehow even with the signing issue.
 
Well, I went to plug in my phone to the charger and it started charging. I had gotten the battery charging screen to turn on. It still refuses to go into download mode or recovery mode. :-/ I have no internet at my house, so I am stuck at my college while trying to find a way to unbrick.
 
Actually the F90 is the same thing as the LS740. The phone they made the bootloader unlock for is the L90 which is a very similar phone. However they did it for int'l versions and maybe those are completely different.
They also made one for the lg g2 mini, however, that was probably the int'l version too and I don't know if it worked.

Oh, my bad... Though it was the F90 :(
 
Got a new phone, as mine was hard-bricked(qualcomm hs usb qdloader 9008 in device manager). Was going to buy a jtag but was able to exchange phone at BestBuy.
 
My 14 days was up yesterday so I'm crossing my fingers more so now when I take chances trying new things with my Volt. What is a "jtag" &what does "qualcomm hs usb qdloader9008" mean is that a code your brickedVolt gave or something? Hope my questions don't sound stupid! Just trying to learn as much as I can, thanx everyone.
 
It says any Qualcomm based s3, not any Qualcomm device. Because there's multiple versions of the s3, some have a different board. Wouldn't hurt to try though.

By downloading this file you assume all responsibilities. I am not responsible for bricks or broken phones, flash at your own risk. I also don't think this will affect download mode but take caution anyways. I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITIES.

Download the file, unzip it and place it in the root of your internal sdcard (the emulated one, not the external one, not in the system).
Using terminal emulator, type in su, hit enter and grant root permissions.
I have no idea if this phone has the flash_image command, so we'll do it like this,
dd if=/sdcard/aboot.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6

And hopefully we'll have an unlocked bootloader

Should probably update Topic and delete link before someone else uses it without reading all the post ( Wouldn't be the first time :) ) and bricks their phone.
