Well, been a long time lurker on this site, but haven't really needed to ask questions till running into this issue.
Triumph on stock rom:
Pulled the phone apart to take a better look at the usb port after dealing with ongoing charging issues, didn't see much I could do with it, and the solders were good, so I put the phone back together, and fired it up.
Upon booting, phone boots to lock screen with no battery and a message "A new battery parameters detected", then tells me my sd card is safe to remove, then shuts down.
Tried my nandroid backup, tried a second battery, tried charging it for a period, noticed it seems to cycle charge now, meaning it lights up red, gives me the charging animation screen, then screen turns off, light disappears and cycle repeats after about 5 seconds.
Battery was 60% charged when removed to disassemble the phone, other battery was 50%. the battery has no issues in recovery mode as far as shutting down, so it should still have charge.
I'm usually pretty proficient in troubleshooting electronics, but I'm scratching my head here.
