possible ccm7 bugs

BUG1
the ringtone seems to be inconsistent. i have a standard ringtone, its the default rocking metal ringtone, but i set a different ringtone for a specific number. when that number calls, i get either 1 second then muted for the rest of the duration (havent had this problem in a while), or i get either the default ringtone, OR the one i set it for, randomly. note, the user is calling from the same shortcut on their phone, so the number that is being dialed isthe same everytime with *82 prepending the number.

BUG2
the camera doesnt work
i was able to take a few pictures fresh after install, but i cant figure out how to save the images, normally i would click the trackball to take, and then trackball again to save. while this worked for a short time the image would still hang for a long time.

Now the image hangs indefinetely until i close the camera and the image doesnt save either. so basically i cant take pictures at all. what could be causing this?

NOTE, i would like to know what to do to get the pictures to work obviously, anybody ahve any suggestions?

I'll see what I can find out on the ringtones. My Eris is no longer activated so it's something I can not test but I'll definitely look into it. As far as the camera. I've had no issues with the camera so far. I always use the shutter icon on the screen to take pics with. I don't use the trackball. I'll play with that too though and see if I can come up with anything for you.

thanks! well, the camera has been back working again. not sure what i did, but it might have posibly been something to do with the memory card. thats a longshot though. The only reason i say this is because i was swapping some music between my wifes and my phone, so i did a couple switch ups on the sd cards. didnt try the camera right away at that point, but when i did try it again, its working great since.

as far as the ringtone. i cant figure what is causing this, but it does happen once in a while. So the only bug i can see so far is the ringtones do a few unpredictable things now and then, but for the most part they work fine, and its not really worth worrying about.

two other possible bugs now that i look back;

Reprogram process Numpad;
i *228 reprogrammed my phone today after pdanet problems, and i noticed that when its trying to reprogram it asks to press 1 for reprogram, and 2 for roaming options, but i cant get to a number pad, i hit the home button, and then phone icon, then it asked for an option, i selected the numpad option, but it goes right back to the update screen, with speakerphone on and off button, and cancel or was it exit button for the reprogram, so i whistled the #1 tune(DTMF tone) a few times, LOL, to see if that would work, dont know if it was that or just the waiting, but it finally did successfully reprogram after a few more seconds of waiting.

Data Network;
Soemthing else i dont fully understand, sometimes when i have problems with PDAnet the internet gets fully locked up, the main sympton on the phone that i always see during this time is the 3G icon goes solid green, and the arrows dont move, so it would seem to be the phone itself causing this, as opposed to PDAnet itself, but i could be wrong. As a debug test i open the phones browser and it too seems to not load a google search query, SO i go into 'home', menu', 'settings', 'wireless & networks', 'Mobile Networks', and toggle the 'Data Enabled' off then back on to solve the connection lockup. Now the thing i dont really understand is the 'System Select' option here, because at times it would toggle to an option that wasnt selected (this may be a verizon packet that causes this, im not sure), but i DO notice that when i have it on the 'Home' option, i only get a 1X connection speed, and when i have it on 'Affiliated' option i get a 3G connection, but the phone doesnt work, so i have to put it on 'Automatic' option. i guess the only thing that im unclear abotu is whats causing it to toggle, accidentally at times, and what affiliated really means. is "affiliated" like a radar tower that is selling bandwidth to verizon, but is not a dedicated verizon tower? or something totally different? anyway, note the bug, it might be useful on your next build.

black screen during voicemail wont reappear;
when im in voice mail, frequently i lose the screen, and when i need to press 7 to delete the message for example, i cant get back to the screen with any of the trackball, volume, or green call buttons, or menu, back arrows, only the red hangup button gets it back to the screen

I think if you hold VolUp and press the call (green) button that re-lights the display. (This has been an issue with all Cyanogen ROMs from Eclair, Froyo and Gingerbread.)
