Root Possible CM7 Camera / Torch Bug?

I've noticed that sometimes the camera app and torch app do not respond after I have a long uptime. I had this happen again today; I went to take a picture and Camera just gave me a black screen every time, with the options to "wait" or "force close" as the only possible selections after about 20 seconds. The torch app also stopped working, and said it was on but I had no light.

I assume this is some kind of Android or CM7 bug, because I've noticed it a couple of times now and it's always after I have a significant uptime. In today's case my uptime was 166 hours.

As soon as I reboot they start working again, but I'm wondering if perhaps this is a known issue or there is some fix for it other than rebooting more often.

Perhaps someone else has noticed this also? I'm using 1-26 CM7 Reloaded.

I have had uptimes in the order of a couple weeks and have never had the issue you describe. I use CM7 built from source with some minor modifications done myself, not TG-RL (but from the same source) so basically the same thing unless it would be an issue from Whyzor's modification. It could possibly be some weird hardware issue, but if a reboot fixes it that is quite unlikely.

Any apps on your phone related to that stuff? There might be an issue there.

I have no camera or torch-related apps that I know of.

I was trying to find an easy way to make a list of what I have installed but short of doing it by hand I see no simple way.

Hmm.

(Edit) I went into Dev Tools -> Show Permissions to see if I could see anything camera or flash related.

I couldn't see anything for "camera", but under "control flashlight" there was one app listed - ooVoo. Could that possibly be the problem?

(Edit #2) Finally found the "take pictures and videos" permission. Listed apps using this are:

Camera (obviously)
Android Live Wallpaper
Google Goggles
KakaoTalk
Tango
Skype
Torch
Akinator (?)
