Root Possible GPS Fix

Hope I am not violating any of your rules new to this site.
Here is a link to a fix that has worked for me to get lock and walk around. I just unzipped the gps config file with root explorer renamed the old config file to .back and inserted it in the proper folder with root explorer. You can use other file explorers that will give you root access.

I will open the phone in a week or two but do not have time due to workload. If it does have the rubber over the antenna like the Optimus black that could be the problem.

I took apart and screwed up my phone. now there's a hole on the screen right above the display. (right where the light/proximity sensor is. yes... it's broken...)
I'll check to see if gps works tomorrow morning XD

Were you able to identify what was the GPS antenna? I took a look but wasnt able to tell what was what.

Sorry about your phone. When you were taking it apart what caused the breakage? Does this come apart like the Black? Did you identify the Antenna?

I never had an optimus black so I don't know. I think the rubber over the sensor got in the way when I put the screen back on, and busted through. but no, I didn't identify the antenna. and I forgot gps won't work anyway cause I'm on cm10

edit: okay so GPS does actually work... never mind (according to the ROM's thread OP)

next week I will start to play with it. Does anyone know what chipset is the gps on this phone? and what other phones have the same chipset?

Hey has anyone tried there gps lately... Mine was pretty bad when I 1st got it, but now it works %90 better... Idk why
