So a little bird has told me that the Nexus S with AT&T bands will arrive next week I will do some further investigating tuesday and post if I can get the actual date from him! here's hoping he comes through like he did for the inspire and atrix dates!

The real benefit to AMOLED screens is power saving. In terms of image quality, I'd have to side with SLCD, though it's a very close race. Due to the way OLEDs work, color from one pixel can often bleed into a neighboring pixel of a different color, leading to a very saturated looking picture. SLCDs don't have this issue and can therefore produce much more accurate images.
But like I said, AMOLED is all about the power saving, which is why I'd prefer it over SLCD. Overall, the two display technologies are pretty equal.
Yea me too I talked to my friend he said that all of a sudden its nowhere in the system. He thinks its because they wanna push the Sprint 4G version
It doesn't make sense for an AT&T compatible version to be available in Canada in early april and not in the US, at the very least unsubsidized. I have $530 in hand ready to go.
I also thought AT&T might have been silent during the 2 week 99 dollar nexus s tmobile deal at best buy but Sprint didnt seem to care.
Here's hoping we hear something soon

It makes sense that both would be available the same date since AT&T and the big CDN carriers use the same freq bands. Although Canada usually has later release dates.
And in the grand scope of things Canada is getting it "later" than the US considering its been out since Dec for t-mo... so i could see it coming out the same day as Canada with at&t bands.
Well it has to be around the same time. It wouldn't make sense for them to leave ATT out of the picture there are millions of customers just waiting
I'm leaning that way as well. I'm having such a hard time rooting my inspire I might just exchange it for the ATT nexus S
If the ATT version doesn't come out before the infuse I am probably gonna get the infuse. Easy root and.Rom platform
I was told from a friend that you can preorder the unlocked Nexus S with compatible AT&T bands from

But it labels it as i9020t as opposed to i9020a.

-Yes it is the Nexus s 3g compatible with AT&T
-Not 4g enabled
-Screen is Amoled , Not slcd or super amoled ... wtf??
-He said they plan to get it with the super amoled display..
I know but this is really what they told me!?! I asked two time to be sure and he said amoled both time .. wtf lol
