Help Possible to change "hard menu" choices?

What the h-e-doublehockeysticks makes Sprint think I want the option to choose "Sprint ID" from the hard menu key?

Is it possible to remove this ridiculous shortcut from this prime real estate?

Yes -- it is possible. Simply long-press the icon you would like to change (the SprintID is a good choice to start with) -- and a menu will appear from which you can choose the icons you would like in your dock.

If there was an icon in my dock, I already got rid of it. I'm asking about the hard menu key (far lower left, next to home key). It pops up a white menu with 6 choices, from any home screen: add, wallpaper, sprintID, manage apps, settings, and more.

I've tried long-pressing the Sprint ID icon to no avail.

I believe home screen replacement apps can and do change that. I don't know how customizable they are, though. You'll need to play with them.

I use Launcher Pro.

The six options it gives me are Add (something to a homescreen), Wallpaper, Search, Notification, Preferences (for LP), and Settings (for the phone).

Try it out.
