Help Possible to change the lock screen music player?

Like the feature when the display is wakened, the music player is there on the lock screen allowing you to cycle through tracks without unlocking the phone.

Is there anyway to change this from the default HTC music player to Google Music? Or do I need an app to allow me to make this switch?

If it requires an app, any suggestions? Would that be classified as a launcher or some sort of lock screen widget?

The good news is that almost all music players allow you to have them displayed on the lock screen. However the almost all refers to Google music. I have yet to find a way to get that on the lick screen.
