Possible to connect a bluetooth game controller?

I'd like to purchase a bluetooth game controller for use with emulators and games that let you map buttons. Is this feasible?

Has anyone done it?
 
I have seen many using wii remotes on the market. The only problem, if there is one for you, is you have to be rooted.
