Possible to disable 802.11N but leave G?

I'm having the wifi craziness that some of us have on my home network (Zyxel N router) After I set it to static IP, it worked a bit better, but now crashes the router and kills the network!

I have no problems at work where we only use G. Is there anyway to disable N or force a G connection?

i think the answer would be no, you might check and see if there is an update for your router, as it should not cause the problem you describe.

the other thing you could do is lock out n on the router, should be available in an advance setting.

Thought about locking out the router, but hate to lose N for everything else in the house. Unfortunately the router is up-to-date too. Maybe I'll give it a shot anyway. It really sucks having to use 3G at home <grrrr>
