possible to have weather on lockscreen?

I'm not familiar with all of your phone's built in widgets, but if you don't have a weather widget, at the very least you should be able to install a weather app that will provide a widget.

On my phone I longpress on the homescreen and select "widgets" to see the available widgets.

Someone more familiar with Samsung devices might have some better info on where the setting might be hidden.

AOD has the function where you can double tap on the clock to see your weather outlook. But that is not what the op wants. The op is looking for something where the weather is displayed on the lock screen without having to do anything extra.

Unfortunately I have not come across anything like that.

Surely a weather app will come with its own widgets that you can display on the home screen?

My phone's weather is always displayed and I can tap on it for more detailed stats.

edit: AOD=Always On Display......this is when the phone and screen go to sleep AOD comes on and you can see the time and displays your notifications

not sure on notifications,

but not having aod,, then means that there is not much you can do as far as having weather on the lock screen. you would think there would be a lock screen app for this, but i have not come across one yet.
