Possible Verizon Release Date

I don't want to get any hopes up, but I spoke to an employee at the Verizon store today and he said the galaxy nexus will probably be in 2 weeks because they want to release it a couple of weeks before christmas, this just points more to December 8 th and also means they will sell it in stores.

December 8th is looking better and better, but...

They're also presumably launching Droid 4 on that day. I'm concerned about the possible conflict in flagship phones, and whether they may push Nexus back a week to give D4 exclusivity.

I sure hope not. They're two different phones for two different demographics...

i wouldnt bet on the droid 4 being released, why launch the droid 4 when the droid 3 was released like what 4-5 months ago? would be a horrible decision. and 4 major phone releases in 2 months? not likely, 3 seems too much, but maybe verizon has alternate plans.

I hope you're right.

it just doesnt make sense to release that many phones that quickly, even if the d3 was released a few months ago.

Then we may have hope because Verizon rarely does things that make sense lately.
I'm inclined to agree. The Razr was released so soon after the Bionic that many felt like Bionic owners had basically been betrayed. And now we're seeing evidence that the Nexus release is being pushed back to boost sales of the Razr and Rezound. Nothing Verizon does would surprise me at this point.

Not true. We would all be surprised if they actually released the hostage phone soon. :)
