Help *Possible Virus* Strange GPS voice playing over driections

This is a very strange problem indeed.

Yesterday, I used the turn by turn navigation on my HTC Desire.

It worked fine untill I turned the navigation sound on and I could hear the directions but on top of that, I heard a strange voice (not one I have installed) reading out a message over and over again telling me to go to a certain website with some other messages.

Could this be a virus?

Any help would be appreciated.

Oh and I have a non rooted phone.

P.s. I restarted the phone and started navigation and got the same problem. The phone seemed unaffected apart from the voice.

Sounds like text to speech reading your emails. It can do this in car mode

Maybe it has a ghost in it? Is there an exorcist app on the market?
