Help possible virus?

Hi,

I think I may have a virus, or possibly my kids played with my device and caused an issue I cannot resolve.

I am using a machine provided by orange with Orange Israel operating system - no rootkits and such used.

Ever since yesterday, whenever I press the home button (the central button below), instead of reaching the home page, I am getting a different screen which shows me a clock, accuweather and a taskbar with apps that one can add (but this works badly). It's impossible to open more than one app at a time with this new screen as the only way to reach the home screen is by escaping with the back button and not with the home button.

pressing the home button for a long period of time will open the task manager.

I have gone through the open apps and nothing strikes me as related, and even used a smarter open apps app I had installed in the past and cannot figure out what this is...

I couldn't find any way to configure the various buttons on the phone...

just post the link up directly.

Without seeing your picture "link" to me, it sounds like you dont have a virus, but your home screen position has changed to one of your other screens.

no intention for cloack and dagger... but if you are new, you can't post links or upload images.... until you have enough posts.... and I've now found this is a very common hardware issue... like a blue screen of death.... and I still haven't found a solution....
 
never heard of that hardware issue before, just sounds like either default launcher has been changed, or your goto homescreen has changed. try applications in settings, find your current launcher, and select clear defaults, then press home and reselect your preferred app

I'm from israel too..had that virus on my Galaxy s2 ,
I sold it recently and bought a Brand New S3 in berlin ( NO Dirt in the usb socket !!!! )
The Virus came bake !

I think you steel have that virus too, couse the jumping accuwheater that you showed have nothing to do with any dirty usb... :

There was two possibilities :
My SimCard is Infected
Or my GMail Acount is Infected !

I took out my extra sim card, though I've formated it too .[/U] ..
I Formated My phone and reinstalled it - the virus Came Back !

After The instellation there was a sync. request against sumsong & google acounts
I allready have ones so I made a loggin to those acounts ,
I suspect My GMail Acount (Wich Including mails) is infected !
