Help Possibly Overheating????

So I just have a question. To put it simple, what temperature can a tablet battery withstand?

I own a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and long story short, it ended up staying in my car, for about two hours. Anyways, the temperature outside was fairly hot, around 85F, the windows were down, but I forgot the tablet was in there. Anyways, when I got finished doing what I was doing, I jumped in my car, and noticed the tablet was there. I checked the temperature of the tablet/battery and it was 121F. The app I have that reads the temperature said it was overheating, though the device its self never gave any overheating warnings. As far as I know, it did not shut off, (unless it shuts off until its cooled down, than reboots.) I played with it briefly while the temperature was at 121F, and all the apps seemed to run fine, the tablet was not freezing, skipping, or running slow. Everything seemed fine.

So again, my question is, is it safe for a battery to reach temperatures of 121F? Also, how would I tell the signs of overheating damage? Thank you for your time.

Sorry for spelling.

It sounds like it is okay. But, often heating issues do shorten the overall lifespan os an electronic device.

So the only thing that probably happened, was it shortened the battery life span? How much would it have shortened the life span? Significantly, or just slightly? Is pushing a battery temp to 121F fairly common? Thanks.

I did not say anything about the battery.

Heat is a enemy of electronics. So what happed to you "might" shorten the life span of your electronic device..... in this case the 10.1

My question is about the battery... what could have happened to the battery at that kind of temperature.
