Bought a antique 1930's RITTER Dentist Chair off ebay.
- Mounted 3x 24" LG LED Monitors (Using 3/4" Metal Electrical Conduit"
- Made 3 wooden "pads" for my Logitech - G13 Game Pad, Razer Black Widow Elite Mechanical keyboard, and my Razer Mamba 4G. (all done with 3/4" conduit)
I use a ANTEC computer case. (Strange look/Dusty as hell*sorry*)
Don't ask specs.. They suck..
4gig, 5770, 4core, 3.25 or something.. That's next to get a SERIOUS upgrade..
I have a Logitech Z5500 5.1 - Two of the Speaker drivers are mounted in the head rest. The rest are all around me.

- took apart my mouse and keyboards and spray painted them with white enamel paint. For a 2 tone look.

What I plan on doing:
- Changing the purple LED light... (dont judge lol swore it was white when I bought it.. **** you Ikea..)
-Straightening monitors out
- Get rid of dumb drum stand supporting the weight of monitor boom stand.
- WHITE Monitor bezels.

YES, I have full arm rests..
The chair is actually VERY comfortable.

Welcome to Android Forums, Hell ... or should I call you Mr. Fire? ;)

That's a pretty cool setup you got there. I'm just wondering where the stacks of paper, half eaten sandwiches and empty Diet Coke cans are hidden. At least that's what it would be like in my office.

Just an observation. I don't think Mike was commenting so much on your rig as he was saying that Chinese dentistry is still using 1930's equipment. (Mike is an Englishman teaching in China, so he has first hand experience with that sort of thing.)

Come to think of it, today's a good day to celebrate the return of my Linux workstation! After being down nearly a month, as I tried in vain to make an early SSD work as a replacement boot drive etc. it's finally running the latest release of OpenSUSE just released a few days ago. It was my bedside PC and TV while I was going through what amounts to chemotherapy and spent a lot of my time there. One day I'll get it to a desk!

The computer is in a black rackmount case, and doesn't photograph well. On top of it I have a Symetrix/Lucid DAC and Crown D75 amplifier for headphones. The Edirol powered monitors provide good sound out loud. I'm using a 24" LG TV/monitor. As you can see on the floor, I have plenty of backup power. ;) Also notice the NOS IBM keyboard.

I've posted my video workstation before. The 6-core Phenom 2-powered ASUS will be augmented by a Rain Element VFX with a 6-core i7 Xeon for video processing. On the right are my two NAS boxes, one with a 4x2TB RAID5 array, the other with a 4x3TB RAID5 array, with a combined capacity of 15TB. Various and sundry USB and IEEE-1394 external drives are in the photo. APC UPS and power conditioner/AVC. Samsung 40" monitor feeds a DVDO iScan Duo 8x2 scaler/switcher. An old Yamaha receiver does Dolby Pro Logic decoding and digital audio switching, and a Crown DC300A (not in frame) powers the Paradigm Studio 80 main loudspeakers. The little Altecs on top aren't in use right now. I might get out my Tandy Minimus 7s as near field monitors, now that there are no more CRT monitors for them to hurt.

I love the clock!

But OMG the car battery! Scary! hahaha :D

Blimey!

You guys are hardcore.

My home setup is a laptop (just the one) with a scattering of external drives behind it.

Positively minimalist

+2 about the batteries, Speed.

I don't know if it's been answered, but why the heck don't you take the shipping plastic off the monitor? That would drive me INSANE!

They're not car batteries; they're all completely sealed AGM marine batteries. Perfectly safe as long as I don't drop a crowbar on them. Hmm...

The clock is an Ambient "Flurry" weather clock that gets "atomic" time sync and AccuWeather data from local FM stations' SCA data channels. It's a shame they only made them briefly.

Thanks! What's not in the photos are a pair of 1000VA pure sine wave inverters that I use to keep key systems (including a small A/C unit) running during power outages.

It's a good way to boost resale value when I replace them (I keep the original boxes too), or to keep them looking new if I can't afford to buy new. I can't stand the piano gloss finish, so to me the protective tape (which has a lower albedo) is less objectionable than the gloss. Notice that the small monitor with the matte finish doesn't have any plastic on it.

I too find the high gloss finish these days to be distracting for the reflective properties, but also because of the fingerprint factor. That's why I always opt for the minimal bezel when purchasing displays. But i still have to peel the plastic. Maybe it's mild OCD? ;)

I dunno. For me, one day I realized that I didn't have to. Ever since then I've been drunk with my new-found power!

LOL... "It's Doctor Evil, I didn't spend six years in Evil Medical School to be called 'mister', thank you very much."

Its a mess in here but ehh..
