Help Post-factory reset- can't call, text

Hi all,

I've had my Eris since december of '09 and have loved it, but recently started having some issues with it. It got so obnoxious that I decided to just to a factory reset. I did the reset, called *228, pressed 1, the phone "was programmed successfully" and everything seemed fine, but it turns out it's not.

Everything having to do with network connections isn't working- I get reception but can't call or text and there's no 3G to be seen.

If I can't find a solution to this fairly quickly I'll just head to the VZW store, but I was hoping to find an easier fix and if you folks could help?

That sounds like an issue that will be solved by calling VZW tech support (or, I suppose, visiting the store, but I always have better luck with a call.) That, of course, requires you to have another phone, but you can always pay somebody like Skype a few pennies for Skype Out if you really need it.
