Help Post Froyo VPN Issues

I have an evo 3d, can connect via l2tp to a sonicwall vpn over 3g, but it will not pass data to that connection even though internet traffic passes fine. If I disable the 3g data connection and fire up wifi from the house, I can establish a VPN just as before except now I can pass data. I am on 2.3.4

I'm having issues as well. Starting a VPN from my Evo it connects but no data passing on 3g or 4g. If I turn on the Hotspot (stock paid and legal) and try to VPN from my Xoom I see no connection attempt even made on our Checkpoint. Evo is current/stock and Xoom is 3.2.1. This is a real deal killer, was hoping I could use the Xoom with the bigger screen instead of getting out my laptop.

I fixed mine ... See below

Currently sprint andorid phones have the following settings
RTSP proxy IP = rtsp.vog.sprintpcs.com
RTSP proxy port = 554
HTTP proxy IP = pd.vog.sprintpcs.com
HTTP proxy port = 8085

you can either root your phone or call sprint to get you MSL number. Once you have that

Dial ##3282# (also known as ##DATA#)
Choose Edit Mode
Enter MSL
Choose Advanced
Change RTSP proxy IP to: 0.0.0.0
Change RTSP proxy port to: 0
Change HTTP proxy IP to: 0.0.0.0
Change HTTP proxy port to: 0

Basically, you are bypassing the sprint proxy servers.

My 3g speeds increased 3x and my VPN works just fine now
