Post here if you received the OTA update.

Looks like the phone is trying to download something. Attached usage details from the t-mo site. Screen shot attached.

If you run a log cat ~ with ddms in the sdk ~ you will see if , what and where the download is happening , maybe even find what sever the update is being sent from ..

Could not having enough space prevent you from getting the update? Or is the recovery partition space not included in the total memory?
 
You need to download and setup the android sdk , and drivers...
But the thing is those who * did * get the update only have to do a system dump or dump the recovery img so we can get the new files we need to update...

What you see when you go into settings ~ memory is just your STORAGE MEMORY ,when you get a * LOW MEMORY * warning its just your storage memory running low ... These have nothing to do with system memory , the recovery partition is hidden and has enough room to store your backup Rom and download the new one for install , then the new becomes your backup and your old backup is deleted ... now you have room for the next one when available...
 
So in theory we could make a copy of the Recovery Rom off the updated B2s and flash it to update?

Seriously how long could it possibly take with technology today shouldn't they be able to send it out. Everyone at once? It seems like they are doing one phone a day.

And if the data info from t-mo means anything, it is failing to download multiple times. I still don't have an update. Just a lot of data traffic. Glad I have an unlimited plan
 
GETTING UPDATE NOW!!! i just talked to t-mobile and they told me that there would be a red and blue arrows going oposite ways diagonally and then a message would pop up and need to know what i need to do because they are there now. to be able to store it and send it to everyone who doesnt have it

when the update pops up, choose install later, then check your sdcard for a update folder

if i do that, how do i install later?

it says Congratualtions! a new software update for your device, To proceed with install select next it has next and postpone options

also, it wasnt 10 mins after i called that this happened, so maybe u just need to call lol i asked for tech support i told them that the tmobile usa on twitter told me to get a ticket or somethin like that

Does this mean I need the SD card to get the update? I hope not because my SD card keeps getting corrupted (which I hope is fixed by the update!) Catch 22 anyone? :/
 
It's not on the SD Card, its in the recovery partition, working on finding out how to get to it.

You can apply it by going to the main settings and the bottom choice is update software (but please wait!! :)
 
Call 611 and go to tech support and tell them u need a ticket for the update that's what i did and ten mins later i got it.
 
Yay...it's like Christmas. my extended family always sends really uninteresting gifts...usually June sometime. So this really is just like Christmas.:rolleyes:
